We are No Bad Weather Academy
At NBW, we believe that learning and having fun should go hand-in-hand. Our team of experienced coaches and staff are dedicated to providing a safe and exciting environment for children to develop their skills and passion for various sports.
NBW Academy was founded in 2020 by Bostjan Brzin, a professional ski-jumper from Slovenia. During the height of the Covid pandemic, when many activities in the NYC Metro area had come to a halt, Bostjan saw an opportunity to share his love of extreme sports and the great outdoors with children in the area.
Bostjan's vision was to provide a safe and fun environment for children to learn and develop their skills in multiple outdoor urban sports that would provide them a good foundation overall. As a professional athlete, Bostjan understands the importance of proper training and technique, as well as the value of teamwork and camaraderie among athletes.
We offer a range of programs and activities to suit the needs of our participants. Our after-school Academy training sessions are designed to help children build their skills and confidence in our core sports: skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, skateboarding and surfing. We strive to provide our students with the abilities and confidence to compete in our core sports on a local, regional and potentially national level.
But we're not just about training and events. At NBW, we're committed to fostering a love and respect for the environment that is so crucial to our sports. We teach our students the importance of protecting and preserving our natural spaces, so that future generations can continue to enjoy them as we do today.
We also offer a range of immersive training experiences abroad, such as our Ski Safari program, which takes students on an unforgettable journey through some of Europe's most stunning ski destinations.
